It would absolutely honor me to get your comments and reviews.
Thought provoking, spiritual and great plot
I thoroughly enjoyed “Dimensions of the Soul Part 1: The Experience,” By Marcus Douglas. Prophecy, the human soul, and change make up this incredible audiobook.
This novel is divided into parts which are referred to as overtures. Each section corresponds with an understanding of a specific area of the human soul. The author then explains each overture in his own words. For example, in Overture 1: ‘Souls Dimension’ the author uses the quote “Is your soul just a part of you are or is it the essence of who you truly are?” Once the reader has absorbed this question, Marcus Douglas goes on to explain his beliefs and their relevance to the quote.
What makes this novel unique is the author’s ability to present a specific belief and explanation of the soul and then weave it effortlessly into the storyline. The reader is not only given a presentation from the author’s mind but also discovers how the plot and the characters demonstrate the very overture that was just introduced.
The storyline itself is quite engaging. Dimensions is a top-secret government group that consists of enhanced psychics who are used to stop tragic events from occurring by using their visions as a guide. Each of these visions is intensely studied
and then it is decided if the individuals that are foreseen to commit heinous acts can change their future by changing their character and in essence save their souls. If they do, the vision moves on to the next step; the Alluris Dream Haven. People from these visions are brought here to undergo the very special treatment protocols to try and change their destiny.
In enters President Elect Adams who is a kind, just, and goal-oriented man who wants to make wonderful changes to his country. However, his personality starts undergoing some negative changes and he has begun having this prophetic dream where he commits horrible acts. Meanwhile, the Dimensions group is seeing the same vision and must decide if the Dream Haven can change the world’s destiny and save Adams’ soul.
The descriptive ability of the author is tremendous. For example, I was instantly transported to Adams’ prophecy dream and could feel the pain and fear as if I were present there myself.
I also enjoyed watching the development of the characters unfold as the storyline did. It was wonderful seeing the changes the Dream Haven made inside the minds and souls of chosen individuals.
I have listened to hundreds of audiobooks but they are not nearly as engaging as this one. Other audiobooks have one or two voices and maybe a few passages with music and or sound effects which I thoroughly enjoy. However, I love that this novel contains music, sound effects, and multiple narrators that really bring the story to life.
I give this audiobook five out of five stars and recommend it to young adults and beyond who enjoy a thought-provoking yet spiritual action packed story.
Dimensions of the Soul feels like a full audio Drama
I just finished Dimensions of the Soul, and it was an enjoyable listen! This sequel dives deep into sci-fi/fantasy, exploring dream therapy and subconscious manipulation in a world where the Dajara bridge allows therapists to synchronize with patients’ minds. Natalie Massey’s journey through grief, memory, and identity is emotionally compelling, and the ethical dilemmas especially around Demario Evans and President Adams keep the tension high.
For the audiobook, I found that 1.4x speed worked best. The actors were all unique, making it easy to distinguish characters, and the narrator’s portions the overtures and general narration were the standout. The music selection was excellent, enhancing the experience and well balanced with the narration. Overall, this is audio drama level goodness!
Dimensions of the Soul
Dimensions of the Souls is a well written audio book that brings together both faith and politics. Including great character development, this book makes you question our on truth toward reality. I love the inclusion of Bible verses and connection to life at the beginning of every chapter and the way the background music goes perfectly together with the plots in the story. This ending will have you wanting more!
Dimensions of the Soul Audiobook
The audiobook creates a movie-like quality that is backed by music and sounds that amplify the experience. The book explores so many topics, both internal and external, from politics, religion, faith, death, and free-will to science, destiny and countless others. The structure of the book reminds me of the movie Inception with its multilayered narrative. There are many twists and turns that couldn’t be expected. The characters are developed and their lives explored all in relation to the central plot. The book left me ready for the second installment.
Echoes of Time
After listening to all 8 chapters, This is my review: Starting with the narration of the story. The narration in my opinion is was good mix two different perspectives collide and mix. What I mean by that is when it comes to the perspective of story, I enjoy how the narrator for each part both convey a different tone and while you have what I imagine to a young adult, more so a text book nerd who provides the reader with a connection to characters who partners with a Middle age, who’s more Stern and and straight to point convey the conflict of the story and how everything unfolds. The Protagonist: I enjoyed the perspective of each of the characters and their backstory’s. Especially with Fredrick, How he lost everything he worked hard to achieve but at what cost? I’m for one really intrigued to find out what happens with his story. Curtis And Bruce Story was very interesting as They both fallen from grace in a sense. It was like both paths were moving forward but going in opposite directions.
Justin story I hope there is more backstory to him in the next chapters and why was his death wasn’t affected by the butterfly effect. I also wondered if Justin going back multiple times caused the 3 devices to now disappear or During the Break in Fredrick had already got to them. The cliff hanger has me thinking of so many different possibilities. One last thing I would like to add is W for adding the Cannon Event Into the story. When I heard it put a smile on my face. Overall I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next chapters.

Echos of Time
Echos of Time is an amazing written short story that connects fiction with our reality. Marcus knows how to give great detail to each of the characters, allowing them to have their own perspective to “time travel”. He makes sure to grab your attention beginning each chapter with a thought provoking question. The background music and narration are staged perfectly with the story making it impossible to lose interest.
Echoes of Time
Beautifully written story! Captures your attention within the first minute before diving into the backstory. Another thing I loved was the feud between the two story tellers, very interesting and funny. But i’m most excited for the way Marcus will wrap it all up in a bow at the end. He’s amazing at it! Cant wait to catch up with Fredrick, Curtis, and Bruce in the next book!
